AUCHUMPKEE CREEK BRIDGE~ As captured by Middle Ga. Photographer
I absolutely love Georgia. Everything I see I adore from the historical landmarks, to meeting the locals who live here. These pictures of the covered bride are of Auchumpkee Creek Bridge, Upson County, Georgia. We met a couple here from Centerville, near Warner Robins, who came to do a little fishing; when I saw her boots I snapped this picture, it was the day after the 4th of July.
The first thing I saw as I got out of the car was a little white cross near a tree; I don't know any details about it but I'm sure there's a story known to someone. As I walked inside the bridge there was graffiti everywhere you looked. The lattice walls were full of love notes to drawings sprawled over the wooden floor from end to end, left there by young lovers to people more concerned about current events.
The bridge was built in the 1800's, and went under some needed renovations in 1997; you can see the original carved beam girding the underbelly for the magnificent architecture it is. It's a beautiful looking bridge spanning a shallow creek that is filled with all kinds of fish we were told; and by it's graffiti a very popular hangout.
From there we traveled further down the road to the little town of Knoxville, Ga; when I spotted the gristmill. It's been recently built but I thought still camera worthy of a few pictures.

WARNER ROBINS - FIT AND FIRM MOMS; Glamour Shoot by Middle Ga Photographer, Pederzani Photography
Sometimes you just admire women who refuse to settle for average. They enjoy life and desire to have more of it.
On June 13th, we celebrated moms who made health and beauty a major part of their weekly routine by disciplining their eating habits and exercising regularly.
I found six gorgeous moms: Rhonda McKnight (our grand prize winner), Cheryl Moore, Mandy Kirschke, Heather Weddington, Sarah Escanilla and Cari Kollman, all from Warner Robins, Ga; each believing in the common concept of beauty and health yet achieving their goals as differently as they are individually.
We held our very first, Fit and Firm Moms' Glamour Shoot, at Fit and Firm Fitness For Women in Warner Robins, Ga. managed by Marica Glore, who gladly open up the facility for our special event. The proceeds went to benefit the local chapter of, Girls On The Run, Org. in Kathleen, directed by Cari Kollman who was over-joyed to be chosen to be the recipient; and enthusiastically applied the finishing touches making our event more special with fine wines, lite finger foods and gift bags to pamper and thank our moms.
Anna Swaine, Stella & Dot jewelry representative, graciously stylized our models with exquisite samplings from their line of jewelry to complete the juxtaposed look of the glamourized shoot
For the photo shoot portion, I used the available cross-fit paraphernalia ranging from free weights to truck tires and anything else the girls wanted to be photographed with, and staged it in front of my backdrop which was a plain black low key studio curtain. I used strobes and speed lights with a reflector to create and mix an edgy feel with a soft glamour effect.
Our models, all moms, ranged in age from their thirties through their fifties, but you may not easily guess who's who.
We sipped wine, ate crackers and fruit and sampled cheeses throughout the photo shoot that ended with a group picture which will prominently be displayed on the walls of Warner Robins', Fit and Firm Fitness For Women. All of our moms received an 8x10 print with an image of their choice from the shoot.
