PHOTOGRAPHING WARNER ROBINS SISTERS WITH STYLE ~Middle Georgia Family Photographer, Pederzani Photography

If you're a photographer you know how important it is to get a good picture, especially when it's a family shoot. But suppose your subjects(s) don't feel comfortable with
what you suggest for a pose. Now you have a choice to make, do it their way, or do it yours. Take a few pictures of both and show them the transformation between a simple photo with everyone standing in their normal stance, away from each other staring into your lens, and one that shows relationship between the family members and  inter-acting. It's really not hard to accomplish, just try to to get two points of contact fused with smiles and sparkling eyes; hugs, holding hands, glances, shoulders touching, and even legs intertwined, the list is endless. Getting true laughter is a plus in any picture, find a way to do that by outside sources. I used flowers, a dog, and silly posing that made everyone feel more a ease in front of the camera.
Not every family is touchy/feely; but still incorporate points of contact into the posing as much

as possible while keeping everyone smiling at the same time; because if you make them too tense it will show up on the camera and spoil every image. So carefully, by trial and error, introduce simple poses that will compliment the family. Sometimes tickling will work with younger children, bring a feather. The main thing you are trying to accomplish  as a photographer is to relax everyone. A tense person will have raised eyebrows, stiff limbs, bulging eyes and terse lips. You have to relax the muscles in their faces first before the muscles are relaxed elsewhere; and that may take a bit of working, so plan your session with room enough to warm everyone up before the real shoot begins; but having said that, always be ready during this time of prep for amazing shots. I have ruined too many shots because I didn't have my settings fine tuned and my focus was off, some great expressions were sent to the trash pile because I didn't expect to capture anything of quality; I learned the hard way.

When the session is over and the pictures are edited, you'll be amazed at the gold in your hands just waiting to be presented to the family for viewing. Your pictures compliments your skills, your branding and your subjects. Now the fun begins with the viewing appointment. Serve refreshments and make sure the seating is comfortable, then present your best. Bring out the canvasses and portraits for them to see and handle, and help them envision how to display these pieces of art in their home. They will need help broadening their awareness to incorporate art into their daily living. Too many settle for digital images that don't give them what they really want, and doesn't do the art you just created justice.

The Dream of Italy® Travel News Blog: How to Visit the 2013 Venice Biennale

It is one of my goals to visit Italy; my family comes from Calabria, near the toe of the boot. The terrain is very mountainous there but beautiful in all the pictures I've seen. I know we have family there and would love to meet them. I hope they speak English because I don't speak Italian. My father married a French woman in Massachusetts and brought us, my two brothers amd myself, up to speak English. The rest of the family spoke Italian and English in their homes, but we didn't.

The Face Of May

I'm having so much fun with my newly created, 'Magazine Cover'. Each month I feature a model from one of my recent shoots on it as a place of honor, and this month I have extra pages to highlight the venue as well; if others are involved in the production of my shoot, I like to give them some advertising in return.
I believe,   'one hand washes the other'. I know getting my business up and growing is not an isolated thing. So when I can return the favor I do. It's the little things, like sharing, that brings us the greatest joys. I love helping people grow their business, I love seeing people succeed. As for me, my success comes from the Lord also; he is my rear guard and His word to prosper me is a promise sure and true.
So now let me welcome you to my May issue. My model this month is, Jamie Paisley. Together we created this fun shoot reminiscent of the, 1920's. Jamie wore a white 'flapper' styled dress that was perfect for capturing light and highlighting the beautiful ribbons artwork sewn on it. She is a college student who responded to my 'looking for a model ad' for my lifestyle shoot, and she did a great job posing for me.
Our shoot took place at the historic, Casa Coquina del Mar B&B in, Titusville, FL; built in the early 1900's. It's continually reported, that Al Capone, has something in common with the home's past.  I would really like to hear more about this; I'm intrigued with historical stories about infamous people.
The, Casa, as I so nicknamed it, gladly opened it's doors to my, Lifestyle Shoot, request. I was already familiar with it's interior having done the photographs for their website. So I had the advantage of knowing where I wanted to set up.
The 'Casa', is full of charming ambiance that comes through the original detailing of it's architecture. The many rooms and dark cubbyholes that make up it's floor plan brings a sense of mystery and moodiness on the inside; it's high metal ceiling and, what seems to be, original glass windows, embellishes  the mood even more. However, the opposite affect is fluent outdoors. The garden vignettes are full of delightful surprises with pergolas, intimate garden rooms and a domed arbor with a beautiful patina on it, that is the highlight of the garden and captures the breath of all it's guest.
Casa Coquina del Mar is also hosting a Bridal Show May 19th for local brides. It's a whole day of prizes, food, entertainment and pure fun for all. I'll be there with  so many other wedding vendors giving gifts and raffles prizes away to a few lucky brides.

If you would like to have a stylized shoot call me at: (321) 749 9152 and we'll talk about how to bring what you want to pass.  These shoot last 3-4 hrs. sometimes longer. Prices start at $300 on CD.
Ciao.
